WATCH: Filipino-American star Jackie Buntan's hard-hitting and bloody Muay Thai brawl against Martine Michieletto

ONE Muay Thai star Jackie Buntan had one of her toughest fights this past March at ONE Fight Night 20 in the form of four-time ISKA Kickboxing World Champion Martine Michieletto.

The Italian veteran was coming off a unanimous decision win in her promotional debut over United Kingdom star Amber Kitchen, and 'The Italian Queen' was keen to keep her momentum going by defeating the Filipino-American.

Fans inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, were on the edge of their seats throughout the three-round catchweight (130 pounds) Muay Thai bout as both women landed big bombs that would have knocked out other fighters.

Buntan's non-stop aggression and well-timed counters gave her the unanimous decision victory to increase her winning streak to three fights.

Buntan revealed in the post-fight interview with ONE commentator Mitch Chilson that Michieletto had caught her off guard thanks to her impressive footwork, forcing her to work extra hard to come away with the win.

Jackie Buntan raring to make comeback after toe injury

The Boxing Works product was set to fight at ONE Fight Night 23 on July 5 against Anissa Meksen for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship.

However, Jackie Buntan suffered a toe injury during training camp which shunted their fight off the card.

The 27-year-old Muay Thai sensation took to Instagram to share her hopes of making a comeback sometime soon, with the following caption:

"A little throwback to fight week. When you're on the grind, you wish for normalcy.... when you have normalcy... you wish you're back on the grind ☯️. I can't wait to get back already! 📸 @victoriaacalvarez"
