WATCH: Flyweight submission grappling king Mikey Musumeci's suffocating and limb-breaking run in ONE Championship
ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci can attribute his success in ONE Championship to his never-say-die attitude and vast Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) arsenal.
ONE Championship put together a compilation of Musumeci's five submission finishes under the ONE banner a few weeks before he challenges Kade Ruotolo for the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena.
Check out all five matches in their entirety below, as shared by ONE on YouTube:
Alongside his five submission victories, the Cobrinha BJJ and Evolve MMA product also earned unanimous decision wins over Cleber Sousa and Gantumur Bayanduuren to post a pristine 7-0 record in the world's largest martial arts promotion.
While ONE fans have grown accustomed to seeing Musumeci dominate his opponents, his upcoming world title tilt with Ruotolo, who also possesses an undefeated 7-0 record, will be his toughest test yet.
'Darth Rigatoni' recently revealed that his concern ahead of challenging Ruotolo will not be the weight difference but the strength difference due to the 21-year-old's immense gas tank to complement his wrestling-heavy BJJ style.
