WATCH: Former foe Tawanchai congratulates Superbon in epic elbow knockout of Jo Nattawut in Bangkok

ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon scored a massive victory over Jo Nattawut in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 81 last week. The contest went down in front of the packed Lumpinee Stadium crowd in Bangkok, Thailand.

Superbon connected a beautiful elbow strike from close range to flatten Nattawut down the canvas, which badly compromised him and failed to beat the count from the referee.

This awarded Superbon the first-round knockout victory and extended his current win streak to two.

Following that win, the 34-year-old Thai superstar was greeted by the reigning ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai backstage and was congratulated by him.

The world's largest martial arts organization has captured this wholesome moment between the former foes and posted it on their official Instagram account with the caption:

"Fighters by trade, brothers by choice 🤜🤛 Is it time for a Superbon vs. Tawanchai rematch? 🤩 @tawanchay_pk @superbon_banchamek"

In the video, Superbon and Tawanchai are laughing together, with the former on his playful side, claiming that they are brothers before lifting him up the latter in the air.

The two Thai sensations previously fought in December 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 46, and Tawanchai eked out a unanimous decision win over Superbon to retain his 26-pound golden belt.

Superbon planned to finish Jo Nattawut with a head kick instead of an elbow strike at ONE Friday Fights 81

During his post-event interview with journalist Nick Atkin, the Superbon Training Camp representative revealed that he never intended to knock out 'Smokin' Jo with an elbow strike.

Instead, he intended to finish him off with his patented leg kicks, much like he did with previous opponents from the past. He shared:

"Normally, I want to go for a bit longer (the duration of the fight). But I didn't expect to knock him out with an elbow. I expected to knock him out with a head kick."
