WATCH: Get a cageside view of Superlek Kiatmoo9's vicious one-shot elbow knockout of Jonathan Haggerty in Denver
ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 only needed 49 seconds to take the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship from Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver last Friday at Ball Arena.
'The Kicking Machine' caught the over-aggressive Haggerty with a well-placed elbow to the side of the head that left him unable to respond to the 10-count, giving Superlek the knockout victory plus the 145-pound Muay Thai crown.
Despite dropping the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship to the Thai hero, 'The General' still holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship.
Check out Superlek's devastating knockout from ringside below, which ONE shared on Instagram:
The Kiatmoo9 Gym star once again proved that he had the 27-year-old's number by giving Haggerty flashbacks to their October 2018 encounter outside of ONE, which Superlek won via TKO due to a doctor's stoppage.
With it being one of the most incredible performances of the night, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong awarded Superlek a $50,000 performance bonus — one of six fighters to receive bonuses at ONE 168: Denver.
Superlek promises to defend both ONE world titles
Superlek knows the target on his back has grown even larger now that he holds the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and ONE flyweight kickboxing world championships. Still, he is prepared to welcome all who dare challenge him.
During the post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson, the 28-year-old said:
"My next fight is up to Chatri [Sityodtong]. The flyweight [kickboxing] division is mine. I'm ready to defend it. The bantamweight [Muay Thai] division [is] mine as well. I am ready to defend all of my territory."
