WATCH: Get a step-by-step guide to how Superlek Kiatmoo9 lands his crippling knee strikes behind a counter

ONE flyweight kickboxing king and newly crowned ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 owes a big chunk of his success to his immense dedication to training.

'The Kicking Machine' was more than happy to showcase his patented side step deflection followed by a counter knee to the body in a video shared by ONE on Instagram with the accompanying caption:

Fans of Superlek's handiwork inside the Circle would remember him landing this technique against Tunisian star Fahdi Khaled at ONE: A New Breed II in September 2020.

However, the Kiatmoo9 Gym star did not need to unleash the devastating maneuver when he challenged Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena.

Superlek instead allowed 'The General' to be the more aggressive fighter, which opened up the United Kingdom star for a sneaky elbow. This led to Superlek winning by knockout to earn the 145-pound Muay Thai crown.

Despite the 49-second upset, Haggerty still holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship.

Superlek wishes Jonathan Haggerty showdown lasted longer

Superlek's love for training is only matched by his desire to fight against the best, which is why he laments how his 145-pound Muay Thai world title fight with Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168 ended so early.

In an interview with Yokkao, the 28-year-old stated:

"The finishing elbow wasn't my plan, but the match ended after that. I'm happy, of course. But part of me wanted more. I didn't think it would've been over so quickly.
