Watch: Hilarious video shows Paulo Costa, Israel Adesanya, Khamzat Chimaev, and more in the Batman universe
Paulo Costa has obtained a large following due to his hilarious presence online. His latest video featuring Israel Adesanya, Khamzat Chimaev, and more in the Batman universe exemplifies his humor. The Brazilian has an incredible two million+ followers across his social media accounts.
'Borrachinha' has been at odds with several fighters on the UFC roster, but none more so than 'The Last Stylebender' and, more recently, 'Borz'. The South American is hellbent on sealing a future fight with the undefeated Russian and hopes to one day get his revenge on the current 185lb champion.
In a post on social media, Paulo Costa mocked his fellow fighters as he used a deep fake to put his face on Batman's body, alongside Khamzat Chimaev as Joker, Israel Adesanya as Lucius Fox, and more.
Costa is marketing himself to being a huge name in the sport with his amusing posts online, and his rumored new contract with the UFC is a testament to that. According to the man himself, he will receive $1 million per fight after agreeing on a new deal with the company earlier this year.
The middleweight was still signed to a $60k show and $60k win deal despite being a former title challenger who currently occupies a spot inside the top 5 fighters in the division rankings.
Is Khamzat Chimaev fighting Paulo Costa next?
Paulo Costa is preparing to make another run at UFC gold next time out, but it will be no easy task in such a stacked middleweight division. Many highly-ranked opponents would love to match up with the 32-year-old, but he already has a bout booked.
Despite being at odds with Khamzat Chimaev for months, the BJJ Black Belt will welcome Russian standout Ikram Aliskerov into the cage for his second bout inside the octagon. While he isn't as big of a name as others in the weight class, the European has only ever lost one fight in his career, with that sole defeat coming against 'Borz.'
The 185lb titans are scheduled to meet in the center of the octagon at UFC 291 on July 29. The pay-per-view will be headlined by the rematch between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, competing for the vacant BMF strap.
