Watch: Jack Black teaches Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson how to throw a kick
Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson has partaken in a hilarious skit with actor and musician Jack Black. As featured in a YouTube Shorts video posted to the ESPN MMA YouTube channel, Black taught the 39-year-old kickboxer, karateka, and MMA fighter how to throw a kick.
The 53-year-old Hollywood star stated:
"Okay, so, 'Wonderboy,' what you wanna do is you wanna snap it [the kick]. But you never take your eyes off target. Lock on target!"
Following that, 'Wonderboy' threw a front kick and jokingly acted as though he'd hurt his leg. Black then chimed:
"Very good. It's getting better."
Black lightheartedly asked the cameraperson to cut the shot, as Thomson pretended to struggle with his leg.

Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson is no stranger to Jack Black. For years, Thompson has used the song 'Wonderboy' by Black's rock duo 'Tenacious D' as his fight entrance music. Thompson also FaceTimed Black after watching UFC 276 in July.
'Wonderboy' met Black earlier this month and expressed his respect for him. Presently, Stephen Thompson is ranked No. 7 in the UFC welterweight division. Thompson will look to break his two-fight losing streak when he faces Kevin Holland in a five-round welterweight bout at UFC on ESPN 42 on December 3rd.
Chael Sonnen on the upcoming fight between Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson and Kevin Holland
UFC welterweight KO artist Kevin Holland suffered a first-round submission loss against the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279 in September of this year. Holland retired from MMA soon after the devastating defeat, but subsequently unretired and confirmed that he'll fight Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson next.
The Thompson-Holland matchup has piqued the interest of many in the MMA community. It's believed that both striking specialists will keep the fight on their feet and give fans a display of world-class MMA striking. On that note, MMA legend Chael Sonnen has warned that the 'Wonderboy' matchup might end up hurting Holland's UFC career.
Harkening back to Kevin Holland's loss against wrestling wizard Khamzat Chimaev, Chael Sonnen opined that 'Trailblazer' already showed that he couldn't beat a wrestling specialist. He further explained that a loss against a fellow striking specialist like Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson could end Holland's UFC career:
"You will be thrown out [the UFC] if you now can't beat the striker, after you've told us that you can't beat the wrestler. It's a really hard spot, I was surprised that he took the match. I really was."
