Japanese sensation Takeru Segawa is constantly working to improve all the facets of his martial arts skills while he awaits his return in the world's largest martial arts organization.

In the video, Takeru was seen doing various cardio drills to further boost his gas tank when fighting. His promotional debut defeat from Superlek Kiatmoo9 in January 2024 at ONE 165 in their ONE flyweight kickboxing world title fight has enhanced his motivation to train harder.

'The Natural Born Crusher' gladly accepted the short-notice opponent change for his first fight in ONE Championship after his original opponent, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, begged off their fight due to an injury.

Takeru gave 'The Kicking Machine' a run for his money during their match, and his biggest moment was when he stunned Superlek in the last minute of the third round and rained down several combinations that almost knocked down the Thai superstar.

However, the Team Vasileus representative received a unanimous decision defeat, plus injuries on his leg and upper arm. Now, he has recovered from said injuries and is back on the grind.

Takeru Segawa called out by Rodtang during his post-fight interview at ONE 167

Following his win over Denis Puric at ONE 167 in June 2024, Rodtang used his post-fight interview to call out Takeru and make their megafight a reality after their first meeting was scrapped.

However, this much-awaited bout between the two superstars will have to wait a little bit longer because ONE Championship has booked 'The Iron Man' in a world title match Against Jacob Smith on November 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta.

Rodtang's world title defense goes down at State Farm Arena. Tickets for ONE 169 are available at Ticketmaster.
