WATCH: Japanese submission machine Ayaka Miura locks in her trademark choke hold against Macarena Aragon

Atomweight MMA contender Ayaka Miura only needed a round to dispatch promotional debutant Macarena Aragon in their bout at ONE 169 last Friday in front of the packed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

ONE Championship posted her winning moment on Instagram, and they captioned it with:

The Japanese MMA star wasted no time and took the Argentinian contender down the mat. Although Aragon showed some resistance and scrambled her out of an unfavorable position, Miura's grappling was still too much for her to handle.

'Zombie' immediately maneuvered to her favorite submission technique until she got the crank of the head and arm for the Ayaka Lock, which forced a tap out of Aragon at the 2:20 mark of the opening round.

This victory has extended Miura's current win streak to three, as she previously defeated Meng Bo in November 2023 at ONE Fight Night 16 and Itsuki Hirata in January 2024 at ONE 165.

Ayaka Miura bagged the additional $50,000 bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong

The Tribe Tokyo MMA representative not only secured her seventh victory under the world's largest martial arts organization with that triumph against Aragon, but she also received the coveted $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Miura was the first recipient of the bonus from the card, and then she was followed by BJJ legend Marcus Almeida, who defeated Amir Aliakbari in their heavyweight MMA fight and Kade Ruotolo, who submitted Ahmed Mujtaba in their lightweight MMA clash via first-round submission.
