Highlights of that world championship clash between Brooks and Pacio were reposted by ONE Championship on their Instagram account recently, with the caption:
"Chaos and drama 😱 Let's throw it back to when Joshua Pacio and Jarred Brooks ran it back with the ONE Strawweight MMA World Championship on the line 🤯 @the_monkeygod @joshuapacio"
'The Monkey God' immediately imposed his grappling supremacy against 'The Passion' after he swiftly secured a favorable position in the opening seconds of the match.
Brooks perfectly timed a submission attempt against Pacio. The Filipino MMA star tried to counter it with a Kimura lock, however, the 31-year-old American picked him up and slammed him down the mat.
Unfortunately, Pacio's head landed first on the canvas, which is an illegal move under the world's largest martial arts organization, and referee Herb Dean ruled out the fight as a disqualification loss to Brooks.
