WATCH: Jonathan Di Bella goes sniping in picture-perfect head kick of Zhang Peimian

Kickboxers are some of the most devastating strikers in combat sports, and if there is one athlete who perfectly exemplifies how ruthless the sport can be, it would be ONE Championship star Jonathan Di Bella.

The Italian-Canadian kickboxing great made his promotional debut on October 21, 2022 against hard-hitting Chinese rising prospect Zhang Peimian at ONE 162 over the then-vacant ONE strawweight kickboxing world title.

Zhang was off to a fast start, but Di Bella found a hole in his defense and caught him lacking with a precise head kick that sent the Shengli Fight Club crashing to the mat.

That appeared to be a sign of things to come for Di Bella as Zhang struggled to shake off the knockdown, which gave the Team Di Bella Kickboxing fighter all the leverage he needed to win via unanimous decision.

He would go on to have a successful world title defense in his next outing against Danial Williams to extend his career resume to an unblemished 12-0.

Jonathan Di Bella out to reclaim ONE world title

Fans were supposed to see Di Bella defend his strawweight kickboxing world title against Thai great Prajanchai PK Saenchai at ONE Friday Fights 58, but was stripped of it on the scales after failing the pre-fight hydration test, and the bout was subsequently postponed after Di Bella was hospitalized.

However, Jonathan Di Bella will have his chance to win the world title back as he locks horns with Prajanchai at ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28 inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
