WATCH: Jonathan Haggerty's fearsome back-and-forth against Thai striker Mongkolpetch in Singapore

ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty is the kind of fighter who openly challenges an opponent to stand toe-to-toe with him inside the circle. Haggerty's striking mastery showed in his Feb. 2022 showdown with Mongkolpetch Petchyindee, when he tagged the Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion with a lightning-quick combination.

This moment of excellence was one of many for the British star in his unanimous decision victory over Mongkolpetch, which gave him his fourth victory in six fights under the ONE banner.

In April 2023, Haggerty dethroned Nong-O Hama for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship via knockout. Seven months later, he won the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship with a vicious finish of bantamweight MMA king Fabricio Andrade.

The two-sport king is coming off a stellar defense of the bantamweight Muay Thai crown against Felipe Lobo this past February in a come-from-behind TKO victory.

However, his reign over the 145-pound Muay Thai division will be challenged by ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena.

Jonathan Haggerty excited to test his resolve against Superlek

Jonathan Haggerty is looking forward to trading leather with Superlek, who is viewed by many as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters today, at ONE 168: Denver.

Speaking with ONE Championship, Haggerty stated:

"You know, the opportunity to fight one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. I do believe he's one of the best up there. And just to get the opportunity to step in there with him."

Watch ONE 168 live inside the Ball Arena on Sept. 6. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
