Their upcoming world title tilt at ONE 168: Denver will be a rematch of their October 2018 fight under the Yokkao banner, when Superlek defeated Haggerty via TKO due to a doctor's stoppage.
With both men having only improved since their last encounter, fans can expect their ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship clash at ONE 168: Denver to be a strong candidate to win Fight of the Year honors.
Superlek banks on sports science ahead of Jonathan Haggerty redo at ONE 168
Superlek is pulling out all the stops in training camp to leave ONE 168: Denver with the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship and a definitive end to his rivalry with Jonathan Haggerty.
Speaking with the South China Morning Post, 'The Kicking Machine' opened up on how vital sports science is to his preparations for this long-awaited rematch, saying:
"So, we have adjusted the training. We have adjusted a lot on how we train, and we have used sports science to, just overall, make the training better and (get me) ready for the altitude that's changing. So, I think we're ready."
