UFC 286 will forever be remembered as one of the defining moments of Leon Edwards' career. At the March 18 pay-per-view, 'Rocky' defied all odds and successfully defended his welterweight title against arch-rival and former pound-for-pound No.1 fighter Kamaru Usman.
Numerous Hollywood A-listers including Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller, Academy Award winner Jared Leto and Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams were present at the O2 Arena in London to witness the exhilarating fight card.
Even Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Spider-Man Tom Holland was in attendance at the O2 to cheer on his fellow Brit. Footage posted on the UFC's Twitter handle shows Edwards and Holland sharing a backstage moment after the event.
In the clip, Holland can be seen congratulating the welterweight champion for an impressive showing. The 26-year-old Marvel star then introduced the UFC fighter to his family, before the duo proceeded to take a picture together.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies are some of the MCU's most lucrative projects. After three successful solo outings, The 26-year-old is gearing up to take on the role of the New York web-slinger in yet another solo adventure.
Similarly, Edwards is also enjoying immense success in his career. He hasn't tasted defeat in almost seven years. At 31 years of age, he has amassed a pro record of 21-3-0 with one no-contest (13-2-0 and one NC in the UFC).
Edwards boasts wins over many big names, including Nate Diaz, Rafael Dos Anjos, Donald Cerrone, and Vicente Luque, among others.
Who might be Leon Edwards' next opponent?
It looks like welterweight champion Leon Edwards is hoping to settle some past scores in his next octagon outing. During his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier at UFC 286, the Brit teased his plans to take on the winner of Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns in his next fight.
On the other hand, UFC president Dana White shared during the post-fight press conference that Colby Covington will be next in line for a shot at the title.

But in all likelihood, 'Rocky' might be hoping to fight 'Gamebred' next. Masvidal and Edwards have a rather uneasy history. At UFC Fight Night 147, the American jumped 'Rocky' backstage and got in a few good shots which left him bleeding.
