WATCH: Liam Harrison throws with some bad intentions in intense padwork with Cookie Lokwichit ahead of ONE 167 return

Liam Harrison operates in one gear, and that's full steam ahead.

The British Muay Thai legend doesn't hold back whenever he fights or when he trains, and the way he pushed the pace during his padwork with Cookie Lokwichit was the stuff of legends.

Or nightmares if you're Katsuki Kitano.

Harrison has set up camp at Evolution Samui Muay Thai Retreat ahead of his return to action at ONE 167 against Kitano on June 7 at Impact Arena.

Less than two weeks before his return from injury, Liam Harrison looks as powerful as ever and it seems his left knee is back to perfect shape.

He wrote on Instagram:

"Another solid day's work in the bag @cookie_muay_thai @evolutionsamuimuaythai #muaythai."

Harrison last fought at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August 2022, but his world title challenge against then-ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama ended in disaster.

Nong-O caused devastating damage during the fight when his leg kick tore the anterior cruciate ligament in Harrison's left knee.

That injury shelved Harrison for nearly two years, but surgeries and a pivotal stem cell treatment put the Leeds native's left knee back to full health.

Harrison, who's contemplated retirement over the past few months, can now mount another challenge for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai throne but he first has to get through Kitano.

ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Liam Harrison expects muscle memory to kick in against Katsuki Kitano

He may have been out of action for nearly two years, but Liam Harrison expects his body to move as fluidly as possible when he faces Katsuki Kitano at ONE 167.

Harrison has been fighting for nearly two decades, and that amount of experience often gives fighters the sixth sense of just fighting with a natural motion.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Harrison said:

"It won't matter. It's not like I haven't been training and sparring hard in the gym. I've kept myself in the gym and I've been sparring a lot and regularly. I'm not gonna forget what to do."
