WATCH: Lightweight monsters Sinsamut Klinmee, Dmitry Menshikov showcase their power in skull-crushing KO highlight reel
The future of the ONE lightweight Muay Thai division hangs in the balance as renowned finishers Sinsamut Klinmee and Dmitry Menshikov meet in the undercard of ONE Fight Night 22 on May 3 inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Sinsamut and Menshikov are entering their titanic clash on two-fight winning streaks, respectively, and ONE Championship believed that a refresher course of both men's handiwork was in order, which they posted on Instagram.
In 2022, Sinsamut debuted against Dutch icon Nieky Holzken and promptly knocked him out with an overhand right.
The Venum Training Camp product followed that one up with another clean knockout, this time at Liam Nolan's expense.
Then, in July 2023, Sinsamut battered Victor Teixeira to claim his third finish under ONE Championship.
As for Menshikov, he unleashed his frustrations on Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong in September 2023 after failing to dethrone Regian Eersel for the lightweight Muay Thai world title, knocking out the Thai vet in round one.
Menshikov would then add prolific Spanish-Moroccan rising star Mouhcine Chafi to his list of victims, putting him away with a superb left hook just a few months later to close out his superb 2023.
Sinsamut displays improved power during training camp
With ONE Fight Night 22 only a few weeks away, Sinsamut is putting in work with Venum Training Camp, and his coach, Algerian Muay Thai great Mehdi Zatout, felt firsthand his desire to get the victory.
Sinsamut decided to let loose a full-powered teep kick during training camp, which sent Zatout flying, seemingly a warning to Menshikov to be prepared for what the 28-year-old has in store for him come fight night.
ONE Fight Night 22 will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
