Watch: Logan Paul and KSI starstruck by Alexander Volkanovski's UFC belt backstage at UFC 284 faceoffs

Alexander Volkanovski is set to face Islam Makhachev in the main event of UFC 284 this weekend. 'The Great' has aspirations of becoming a two-division champion, and is putting his No.1 pound-for-pound ranking on the line in order to chase a second title.

At the ceremonial weigh-ins, Volkanovski met the popular influencers Logan Paul and KSI backstage, and 'The Great' was kind enough to let the YouTubers examine his featherweight title belt.

The pair were visibly enthralled by the chance to hold an official UFC belt, with Paul excitedly stating that Alexander Volkanovski would soon be carrying two of these belts instead of one:

"Wow it's heavy, it's heavy, bro! Ay, my boy is about to get two of these! Let's go, Volk! This is crazy."

Logan Paul and KSI recently signed a multi-year deal for PRIME to become the UFC's sports drink. The YouTuber pair founded the energy drink company in 2022, with the venture seeing incredible success within such a short period of time.

A major element of their deal with the UFC will see the famous 'Blue' and 'Red' corners of the octagon being renamed to 'Prime Hydration Recovery Zones', with brand new Cornerman stools that are branded with the PRIME logo as well.

PRIME is officially making its debut at UFC 284, headlined by Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev, but will also feature an interim-featherweight title fight between Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett.

Alexander Volkanovski believes that Islam Makhachev's weight cut may affect him in the fight

Although both Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev made weight ahead of their clash at UFC 284, there were some concerns that the lightweight champion might not make the championship limit of 155 pounds, according to Michael Bisping.

'The Count' currently works as a UFC analyst and commentator, and recently stated that the broadcast team was notified that there was a "good chance" that Makhachev could miss weight as the deadline approached.

The Dagestani was forced to strip down on the scales to ensure that he made the weight. Presently, there's speculation about how much the difficult weight cut will affect Makhachev in the upcoming fight.

Alexander Volkanovski was interviewed by the UFC broadcast team following the weigh-ins. 'The Great' stated that if the fight enters the fourth and fifth rounds, then the draining weight cut could potentially hamper Makhachev's performance:

"It can get you chinny. It's a fact that it can work on your cardio... If we don't catch each other early, I'm planning on it being a war. Let's see who can last better... The weight cut might play a factor in the later rounds."
