WATCH: MMA legend Demetrious Johnson breaks down Jonathan Haggerty’s genius against Fabricio Andrade
Demetrious Johnson has always displayed an uncanny IQ when he fights, and he transitions that wisdom whenever he breaks down matches on his YouTube channel.
The reigning ONE flyweight MMA world champion steadily built a following on YouTube with his Mighty channel, and his latest fight breakdown saw him analyze the genius behind Jonathan Haggerty's dominant world title victory over Fabricio Andrade.
Haggerty and Andrade figured in a champion-versus-champion super fight for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16 in Bangkok.
Johnson discussed how Haggerty, who already held the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title, used constant ring movement to dart in and out of the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion's throughout the contest.
"HAGGERTY THE TWO-SPORT KING!! 'Mighty' Demetrious Johnson breaks down Jonathan Haggerty vs Fabricio Andrade ahead of Haggerty's ONE 168 main event vs Superlek for the Muay Thai Bantamweight title," wrote Demetrious Johnson in the video's caption.
Haggerty ultimately found the knockout sequence in the second round when he tagged Andrade with a barrage of punches to secure double-champ status.
'The General' is arguably the best British striker on the planet, and he plans to maintain that reputation when he defends his bantamweight Muay Thai throne against Superlek Kiatmoo9 in an absolute super fight on ONE 168: Denver.
Haggerty's world title defense against Superlek, the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, goes down on Sept. 6 at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
Demetrious Johnson says he's never embraced fame despite storied sporting career
Demetrious Johnson will always be one of the most influential and greatest mixed martial artists ever, yet he never let fame get in his head.
'Mighty Mouse' is the only person to win world titles in both ONE Championship and UFC, and he is always in the conversation for the greatest fighter of all time.
Nevertheless, the avid gamer and former UFC flyweight world champion kept himself grounded and remained relatively quiet his entire career.
Johnson told Angela Lee, the inaugural ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion, during their conversation on MightyCast that he was never into the glamour of prizefighting.
"I'm never gonna fall in love with the lights. I'm never gonna fall in love with, like, this process. So after every single time I won, I will go home, and like, pressure wash the fence, do the yard, do the garden, do X,Y and Z. Because like I said, it's a very short amount of time."
