WATCH: Nico Carrillo puts bantamweight Muay Thai division on notice with brutal stoppage win over Muangthai in Bangkok

Following his successful ONE Championship in April 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 13 with a third-round TKO victory over Furkan Karabag, current number two-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Nico Carrillo followed this with another impressive victory.

Carrillo fought Thai star Muangthai PK Saenchai in June 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 22 and scored a second-round TKO finish.

The world's largest martial arts organization recently relived the highlights of his dominant victory through an Instagram video:

"Nico Carrillo put everyone on notice when he delivered a beatdown on Muangthai 💪 Can 'King of the North' dethrone Superlek and become the new ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion at ONE 170? 👑 @nicocarrillo_kotn"

'The King of the North' punished 'Elbow Zombie' with thunderous punches and kicks, plus he rag-dolled him with several throws to prevent any possible counter shots.

Carrillo finally ended the misery of Muangthai with three knockdowns in the second frame to officially secure his second triumph in ONE Championship in a span of three months.

This win has officially earned the Scottish striking sensation a six-figure contract with the promotion, awarded by ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Superlek says that he is not scared of Nico Carrillo ahead of their championship match at ONE 170

After that win over Muangthai, Carrillo added two massive wins to his resume by beating former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama and former world title challenger Saemapetch Fairtex to earn a shot at ending the reign of current two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.

Superlek and Carrillo will co-headline the ONE 170 card on Jan. 24, 2025, inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Before they light up the packed venue with their striking brilliance, 'The Kicking Machine' said that he isn't scared of the Daechkalek Muay Thai Academy representative in a recent quote card from combat sports journalist Andrew Whitelaw:

"I'm not scared of guys like this. I like to fight guys with this style, and I like new challenges too."
