WATCH: Nong-O’s merciless right-hand puts Rodlek to sleep in round three
Revisit Nong-O's masterclass performance against Rodlek.
Between 2018 and early 2023, Nong-O was unbeatable under the ONE Championship banner. The Thai legend established a promotional record of 10-0 and became an 8x ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion.
In December 2020, Nong-O found himself matched up against Rodlek at ONE: Collision Course. At the time, Rodlek was coming off a win against Kulabdam and planned to capitalize on his opportunity to become the new bantamweight king.
Unfortunately for Rodlek, Nong-O continued his reign of terror with a violent third-round knockout win. ONE Championship posted the entire fight on YouTube, which can be seen below by those who aren't geo-restricted:
Following his win against Rodlek, Nong-O secured three more knockout wins in Muay Thai - Felipe Lobo, Liam Harrison, and Alaberdi Ramazanov. At one point, fans thought the bantamweight Muay Thai world champion would never lose again until everything changed in April 2023.
Jonathan Haggerty shockingly ended Nong-O's run with a first-round knockout at ONE Fight Night 9. The Thai superstar attempted to bounce back in late 2023, but Nico Carrillo denied him once again with another knockout.
Nong-O plans to halt undefeated Russian fighter's momentum in upcoming fight
Earlier this year, Nong-O temporarily silenced the doubters with a unanimous decision win against Kulabdam. At 37 years old, the former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion looks to continue building momentum and potentially earn an opportunity to regain his throne.
On September 27, ONE Championship will return to the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for ONE Friday Fights 81. The stacked event features Nong-O defending his number two ranking against Kiamran Nabati.
Nabati is a 29-year-old undefeated Russian bantamweight (21-0). He made his ONE debut in September 2023 and quickly impressed fans with consecutive unanimous decision wins against Pongsiri and Avatar. He last fought in June at ONE Friday Fights 68, knocking out Suablack in round one.
Nabati plans to secure the biggest win of his career against the legendary Nong-O. Fans can watch the Russian contender's attempt to take out the former bantamweight Muay Thai king via pay-per-view.
