WATCH: Pakistani brawler Ahmed Mujtaba pulls off stunning arm triangle submission over BJJ ace Abraao Amorim

ONE lightweight contender Ahmed Mujtaba proved that he is not just a striking menace by scoring a submission win over BJJ black belter Abraoo Amorim during their lightweight MMA clash at ONE 163 in November 2022.

The world's largest martial arts organization has recently looked back at Mujtaba's winning moment against Amorim by posting it on their YouTube channel. They wrote in the video's title:

"What a SHOCK! 😱 Ahmed Mujtaba 🇵🇰 submits BJJ black belt Abraoo Amorim via triangle choke!"

The video showed the surprising turn of events, the Pakistani MMA star pulled off a triangle choke on his Brazilian foe to force a tap out of him.

It was the 'Wolverine's' fourth triumph in the promotion since his debut in November 2016. Other fighters who are part of his victim list were Benedict Ang, Li Kai Wen, and Rahul Raju.

Currently, he is on a two-fight skid after receiving back-to-back losses from Sage Northcutt in May 2023 at ONE Fight Night 10 and Halil Amir in November 2023 at ONE Fight Night 16.

Ahmed Mujtaba to face Kade Ruotolo in a lightweight MMA match at ONE 169

Mujtaba is looking to return to the win column on Nov. 8 at ONE 169, where he will face the reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo at the famed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The AKA and KAKS-affiliated athlete aims to replicate that submission wizardry to potentially produce another upset against the 21-year-old BJJ phenom for his fifth win under the promotion.

Furthermore, a win for him could move him closer to the world title picture in the weight class.

ONE 169 airs live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 8, and North American viewers can watch all the action for free.
