WATCH: Popular content creator accurately recreates Michael Johnson getting knocked out cold at UFC Vegas 73

Last night’s UFC event saw one of the best knockouts of 2023. Veteran Carlos Diego Ferreira turned out the lights on Michael Johnson in the second round of their lightweight clash, stunning viewers.

The knockout was a particularly nasty one. After eating an overhand right from the Brazilian, Johnson appeared to be unconscious before he hit the ground, stiffening up even before Ferreira followed with an extra punch.

One viewer who clearly found the knockout hilarious, though, was Instagram user @Papiigiio. He recreated Johnson’s knockout in remarkably accurate fashion in what looked like his hallway, somehow falling to the ground in the same stiff manner.

A little later, the video was doctored by content creator @trillavfx, adding Ferreira to the video and showing his right hand and follow-up shot landing on Papiigiio.

The caption for the video, however, was somewhat incorrect. It stated the following:

“Micheal (sic) Johnson when he fights an unranked UFC fighter making his MMA debut.”

Ferreira, of course, has been part of the UFC’s roster since 2014. The Brazilian sports a record of 9-5 in the octagon and was once ranked in the top 15 at 155 lbs.

Michael Johnson knockout: Has ‘The Menace’ been badly knocked out before?

Michael Johnson’s knockout loss to Carlos Diego Ferreira at last night’s UFC event was a bad one. However, while he has 19 losses on his overall MMA record, only three have come via knockout.

Despite this, the last knockout defeat suffered by ‘The Menace’ in the octagon was eerily similar to the one he suffered at the hands of Ferreira last night.

It came in a 2019 bout with current featherweight contender Josh Emmett, and saw him badly knocked out in the third round.

OH MY GOODNESS JOSH EMMETT!!

The similarity between the two knockouts probably explains why this weekend’s one has seen Michael Johnson suffer online trolling.

His other knockout loss came to Justin Gaethje in 2018 in what was the octagon debut for ‘The Highlight’.
