WATCH: Senegal's Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane's deeply rooted motivation ahead of world title challenge against Anatoly Malykhin
ONE heavyweight MMA star Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane has extra motivation to win the division's crown from three-division MMA king Anatoly Malykhin at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In an Instagram video shared by ONE, the video shed light on how much he has been giving back to his community:
"Don't judge 'Reug Reug' by his looks. Though the Senegalese wrestler is a monster in the ring, Oumar Kane embodies the heart of a champion outside it by igniting hope in his village in Senegal, supporting his people with food and medical care with money from his fights."
The video continued:
"He also plans to build a gym in hopes of creating future African World Champions. 'Reug Reug' now wants to honor Senegal by dethroning three-division king Anatoly Malykhin and claiming the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title."
After posting three finishes in four wins, Kane secured his shot at the 265-pound MMA crown with a compelling victory over 17-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) world champion Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida' at ONE Fight Night 13 in August 2023.

Posting on his Instagram, Kane wrote:
"I'll eat you dead or ALIVE @anmalykhin @onechampionship"
Kane and 'Sladkiy' have been publicly trading barbs for more than a year now. They will finally get to settle their differences at ONE 169 with 26 pounds of ONE heavyweight MMA gold on the line.
ONE 169 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
