WATCH: Superbon shuts down 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut with sneaky one-shot elbow knockout in Bangkok
ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon proved why he is one of the best technical strikers of his generation with a stellar first-round knockout of 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut during their featherweight Muay Thai matchup in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 81 last Sept. 27 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The world's largest martial arts promotion shared Superbon's masterful lunging elbow knockout of the second-ranked ONE featherweight Muay Thai fighter on Instagram:
This performance gave Superbon his third finish under the ONE banner. It also marked his first winning streak since going undefeated in his first three fights in the promotion between 2020 and 2022.
Meanwhile, Nattawut is now on a two-fight losing skid. His last victory was a hard-fought unanimous decision win against American star Luke Lessei at ONE Fight Night 17 in December 2023.
Superbon, the top-ranked ONE featherweight Muay Thai fighter, made it clear during the post-fight interview that he hopes to rematch ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai for the 155-pound Muay Thai crown in his next outing.
Superbon wanted knockout win over Jo Nattawut with trademark head kick
Superbon eyed a highlight-reel knockout of Jo Nattawut with a head kick — the same technique he used to finish Italian legend Giorgio Petrosyan and win the inaugural ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship in October 2021.
The head honcho of Superbon Training Camp said as much in the post-event interview with Nick Atkin after ONE Friday Fights 81:
"Normally, I want to go for a bit longer (the duration of the fight). But I didn't expect to knock him out with an elbow. I expected to knock him out with a head kick."
