Entering ONE 168: Denver, fans were expecting an absolute barnburner between Superlek and Haggerty, as the former earned a TKO victory via a doctor's stoppage over the latter in 2018 during their time outside of ONE.

Superlek instead proved why he deserves to be called one of the best pure strikers of his generation with the blink-and-you-miss-it elbow to the side of Haggerty's head. Along with his thrilling ascent to double-champ status, the Kiatmoo9 Gym standout extended his vaunted winning streak to 11.

Meanwhile, despite losing the coveted 26 pounds of gold that was on the line in the Mile High City, Haggerty still holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship.

Joe Rogan in complete awe of Superlek's knockout of Jonathan Haggerty

Famed fight analyst and commentator Joe Rogan was mesmerized by how easily Superlek dethroned Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena.

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, he said:

"Superlek is this bada** Muay Thai fighter, and he fought Jonathan Haggerty. I saw an interesting breakdown. He caught him with that over-the-top elbow, like, real quick in the fight. I think [it] was like 40 seconds. Beautiful KO. So they had a real good fight in the first fight, it was six years ago, and Haggerty became the champion. And everybody thought it's gonna be a much, much different fight [at ONE 168: Denver]."
