WATCH: Tawanchai goes full speed in his world title conquest of Thai star Petchmorakot in Singapore

Tawanchai PK Saenchai had his world title triumph in September 2022 at ONE 161 when he unanimously beat Petchmorakot Petchyindee in their ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title match inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Recently, ONE Championship looked back at one of Tawanchai's best moments during the match, and they wrote the short clip's caption with:

"Rapid-fire 🤯 How will Tawanchai's trilogy match against "Smoking" Jo unfold on November 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta? @tawanchay_pk"

In the video, the PK Saenchai Muaythaigym representative was able to reciprocate the onslaught he received from Petchmorakot, which stunned him with a beautiful uppercut.

Petchmorakot fired a four-piece combination first, but it didn't sit well with Tawanchai, who fired that solid uppercut to return the damage back over the defending champion.

In the end, the 25-year-old Thai superstar got the nod from the judges to dethrone Petchmorakot and start a new era in the weight class with him as the undisputed king.

Since that victory over Petchmorakot, Tawanchai added five more wins to his tally and defeated the likes of Jamal Yusupov, Davit Kiria, Jo Nattawut (twice), and Superbon.

Jo Nattawut to face Jo Nattawut in a trilogy match at ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8

With two close and highly competitive matches between them, Tawanchai and Nattawut are booked for a third meeting on November 8 as part of the loaded ONE 169: Atlanta, which goes down inside the State Farm Arena in Georgia.

The two will once again vie for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title. Tawanchai drew first blood in their head-to-head in October 2023 at ONE Fight Night 15 and bagged a comfortable unanimous decision victory. Nattawut has stepped in as a replacement opponent for Nattawut during this card.

Eight months later, in June 2024, the two had a rerun for the 26-pound golden belt, and it was a much closer fight, but Tawanchai managed to eke out a split decision victory to remain the undisputed ONE featherweight Muay Thai king.
