WATCH: Thai megastar Superbon's difficult path in his quest for Muay Thai gold in ONE Championship
ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon is days away from his featherweight Muay Thai clash with 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Sept. 27 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ahead of their megafight, the world's largest martial arts promotion recounted Superbon's rise to stardom under the ONE banner on Instagram:
Superbon shocked the combat sports world in October 2021 when he knocked out Italian great Giorgio Petrosyan with a head kick to win the inaugural ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship.
After successfully defending the throne against rival Marat Grigorian in March 2022, Superbon's reign would be cut short courtesy of a second-round knockout by Chingiz Allazov in January of the following year.
In his most recent outing this past April, the head honcho of Superbon Training Center emerged triumphant in his trilogy bout with Grigorian to win the interim 155-pound kickboxing crown.

Speaking with the South China Morning Post, the top-ranked ONE featherweight Muay Thai competitor said:
"Of course, I need to fight Jo in this fight to challenge for the world title again. I don't know which one between Jo and Tawanchai is going to win, but next title fight, for sure, is going to be me."
