WATCH: Thai slugger Saemapetch Fairtex's inspiring redemption run against Rittewada, Mohamed Younes Rabah

ONE Muay Thai star Saemapetch Fairtex has had his fair share of struggles inside the circle, but how he responded to such adversity is an important quality that many young fighters should aspire to have.

His separate rematches against Rittewada Petchyindee and Mohamed Younes Rabah showed just how much of a competitor he was, especially after falling to the former by second-round TKO at ONE: NextGen II in November 2021 and being slept in the first-round by Rabah at ONE Fight Night 17 in December 2023.

Any other man would want to move on from such defeats. However, Saemapetch enacted his revenge against both men by way of a second-round knockout at ONE 160 in August 2022 and a first-round TKO at ONE Fight Night 19 in February 2024, respectively.

Relive Saemapetch's resolve to avenge his losses to Rittewada and Rabah as posted by ONE Championship on Instagram:

Saemapetch has also shared the circle in high-profile bouts against the legendary Nong-O Hama, Thai great Rodlek PK Saenchai, and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai as part of his 14 total fights in ONE.

Saemapetch to figure in another major battle at ONE Fight Night 23

The finish-hunting Saemapetch is on a collision course with 25-year-old Muay Thai sensation Nico Carrillo in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 23 on July 5 inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ranked respectively as the No. 4 and No. 1 fighters in the bantamweight Muay Thai division, Saemapetch and 'The King of the North' are both eyeing to eventually compete for the division's world title, and whoever wins gets one step closer to that goal.

ONE Fight Night 23 will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
