WATCH: Thai superstar Tawanchai shatters Davit Kiria’s right arm in electrifying kickboxing debut in ONE Championship

Muay Thai superstar Tawanchai PK Saenchai has been nearly unstoppable to date in his ONE Championship journey. It's included a successful foray into kickboxing, which all started in impressive fashion with a TKO win over Georgian striker Davit Kiria in August last year.

The Thai sensation took on Kiria at ONE Fight Night 13 on Aug. 4, 2023 in his kickboxing debut. He was in his element, pummeling his opponent with thunderous kicks. It all came to a halt when he threw a solid kick that broke the right forearm of Kiria early in the third round, instantly rendering the veteran fighter unable to continue.

Tawanchai immediately apologized for what happened, which Kiria accepted while also congratulating him.

ONE Championship shared a video of the Tawanchai's impressive win over Kiria on Instagram for fight fans to relive as they await his return to action in January next year.

Tawanchai followed it up with another impressive victory against Thai veteran Jo Nattawut in October last year, winning by unanimous decision.

Tawanchai stays in Muay Thai for next match at ONE 170

Following back-to-back kickboxing matches, Tawanchai PK Saenchai spent his last two fights in his traditional lane of Muay Thai, which saw him successfully defend his ONE featherweight world title each time. He is staying in the "art of eight limbs" in his scheduled match at ONE 170 in January next year.

The PKSaenchai Muaythaigym standout returned to Muay Thai after his kickboxing stint in December last year, facing off with fellow Thai superstar Superbon in a title match. He went through the wringer in the contest but still managed to retain his belt with a majority decision victory.

Six months later, he was at it again, staking his championship belt, this time against familiar foe Jo Nattawut. It, too, was tightly fought and ended in a majority decision win in favor of the reigning champion.

Tawanchai will face off with Superbon in a title rematch at ONE 170, which will take place on Jan. 24, 2025 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
