WATCH: The three-step process to Jonathan Haggerty's lethal tomahawk elbow against Joseph Lasiri

Reigning two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty made a lasting impression on combat sports fans around the world during his debut in ONE Championship in Jan. 2019 at the ONE: Eternal Glory card, which took place inside the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Haggerty was pitted against Joseph Lasiri in a flyweight Muay Thai fight and one of his best moments during the showdown was reposted by ONE Championship on Instagram recently.

In the caption, they wrote:

As seen in the video, 'The General' masterfully landed a tomahawk elbow that instantly floored the Italian-Moroccan athlete down to the mat. Haggerty perfectly set up the solid strike with a fake teep and a great measure of distance.

In the end, the British superstar picked up the unanimous decision win over Lasiri and enjoyed a successful debut under the ONE banner.


Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek Kiatmoo9 to headline ONE 168: Denver

Jonathan Haggerty might just have the biggest main event of his entire professional career.

Haggerty, who owns both the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles, will defend his Muay Thai throne against Superlek Kiatmoo9, the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, at ONE 168: Denver card on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena in Colorado.

It will be the British superstar's second world title defense of his Muay Thai gold since becoming the undisputed king of the division in April 2023 when he knocked out Nong-O Hama at ONE Fight Night 9.

ONE 168: Denver will transpire from the Ball Arena at U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
