Watch: UFC fighter The Korean Zombie 'attacks' K-Pop singer Kim Jong-kook as they train MMA together
K-Pop singer Kim Jong-kook and Korean actor Kim Gun Woo recently visited UFC featherweight Chan Sung Jung at his gym, where they trained with the MMA veteran. According to an article on allkpop.com, Kim Jong-kook was told by 'The Korean Zombie' that getting punched in the stomach is one of the many methods of training in MMA. This led the singer to put his strength to the test by making the fighter punch him in the midriff.
'The Korean Zombie' obliged but was surprised to see the K-Pop singer withstand his punches. Chan Sung Jung then invited fellow MMA fighter Jun Young Hong to punch Jung-kook, but the singer was able to withstand his hits as well.
This not only impressed 'The Korean Zombie' but also netizens, who were full of praise for the K-Pop singer for his durability.

'The Korean Zombie' is scheduled to face Max Holloway at a UFC Fight Night in August this year
Chan Sung Jung will meet Max Holloway at a UFC Fight Night on August 26. The bout, which will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, was announced by the promotion's president Dana White. 'Blessed' had issued a challenge to Jung in April, which the South Korean fighter accepted.
Max Holloway is riding high on a clinical performance in his last fight against Arnold Allen at UFC Kansas City earlier this year. On the other hand, Jung last tasted victory in 2021 against Dan Ige. He was defeated by Alexander Volkanovski via fourth-round TKO at UFC 273 in April 2022 in his most recent fight.
It might seem a steep climb for 'The Korean Zombie' but there is the consolation of getting Holloway in what could be his last MMA fight. Expressing similar thoughts, MMA reporter Alex Behunin tweeted:
"Everyone mad at the matchmakers about The Korean Zombie fight should chill. He really, really wanted to fight Max Holloway for his retirement fight."
