WATCH: When UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa spent the night as a pizza delivery driver for Domino's

One of the more popular heavyweight fighters in the UFC, Tai Tuivasa has a unique personality that makes people like him in and out of the cage. Tuivasa drew fans' attention when he found a unique way to pass the time - by working as a pizza delivery driver for Domino's.

In May 2023, 'Bam Bam' traded in his fighting gear for a delivery uniform and hit the streets of Australia to bring piping hot pizzas to hungry customers.

While some may be surprised to see a professional athlete working a side job, Tuivasa's down-to-earth nature and work ethic have earned him plenty of respect from fans and colleagues alike.

The video of Tuivasa working for Domino's was posted on @mma_orbit X.

Tuivasa is one of the most likeable fighters in the UFC and he has become a must-watch fighter in the heavyweight division with a fan-friendly fighting style. 'Bam Bam' is one of the few fighters on the UFC roster who can make all three aspects of his competitive appearance - the walkout, the fight, and the post-fight formalities - an entertaining affair.

Most notably, the 30-year-old made shoey - a celebratory practice of drinking beer out of a shoe worn by someone - popular in the UFC. It has become an inevitable aspect of Tuivasa's post-fight celebration and most fans look forward to watching Tuivasa pull it off.

Tai Tuivasa returns to competition on March 16

Tai Tuivasa's UFC career trajectory has been interesting as he has altered between long stretches of success and failure in his six-year tenure with the promotion.

Tuivasa started his UFC career with a three-fight winning streak which was capped by a unanimous decision win over former champion Andrei Arlovski. Following this, he stepped up in competition and fought another former champion in Junior dos Santos. However, 'Cigano' handed 'Bam Bam' the first loss of his professional MMA career with a second-round knockout.

Two more losses followed and Tuivasa's UFC tenure was in jeopardy. However, he bounced back with an impressive five-fight winning streak, including wins over Derrick Lewis and Stefan Struve. But a third-round knockout loss against former interim UFC heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane started another three-fight losing streak.

Tuivasa will attempt to snap the losing streak as he returns to the octagon to take on Marcin Tybura on Saturday, Mar. 16. The pair will compete in a five-round non-title fight that headlines the UFC Vegas 88 event taking place at the UFC Apex Facility in Enterprise, Nevada.
