ONE Championship shared a compilation of fight-ending liver strikes featuring Fabricio Andrade and Regian Eersel. Over the years, there have been many exciting finishes under the ONE banner. The Chatri-Sityodtong-run promotion is known for world-class strikers, making knockouts and TKOs more common than submissions.
Earlier this month, ONE took to Instagram and posted various highlights of liver strikes from several of their superstars. Among the ten videos, two world champions were showcased - ONE bantamweight MMA world champion, Fabricio Andrade, and ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion, Regian Eersel.
Firstly, Andrade's highly came against Kwon Won Il at ONE 158. 'Wonder Boy' quickly secured the win in 62 seconds with a liver kick. Meanwhile, Eersel's finish was a fourth-round body punch against Sinsamut at ONE Friday Fights 9.
Other fighters featured in the compilation include but are not limited to Danial Williams, Kwon Won Il, and Nieky Holzlen. Watch the entire Instagram footage of devastating liver strikes below:
What's next for Fabricio Andrade and Regian Eersel in ONE Championship?
In November 2023, Fabricio Andrade fought ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing strap. The world-class strikers went to war in the ONE Fight Night 16 main event, with Haggerty emerging victorious by second-round knockout.
Following the loss, Andrade took time to recover from lingering injuries and be with his family. Although ONE has not confirmed this, 'Wonder Boy' might return later this year to defend his bantamweight MMA world title against number one-ranked John Lineker, which would be the third time they have fought.
As for Regian Eersel, he last fought in April when he attempted to defend his lightweight kickboxing world title against Alexis Nicolas. Eersel showcased a valiant effort in the ONE Fight Night 21 main event, but Nicolas capitalized on the massive opportunity and won by unanimous decision.
On October 4, Eersel looks to regain his throne against Nicolas in the ONE Fight Night 25 main event. Eersel vs. Nicolas 2 goes down inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand. The event can be seen live and for free by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
