"We did add something special" - Danny Kingad has equipped himself with tricks to tackle Adriano Moraes at ONE 169

Danny Kingad is out to prove how far he has come in recent times when he returns to action at ONE 169.

The Filipino contender has been a staple of the flyweight division in ONE Championship for some time now. However, to stay at the top, he has needed to learn many lessons and make many adjustments.

On November 8 at Lumpinee Stadium, Kingad is in search of revenge over an opponent who got the better of him the last time they met.

Adriano Moraes was able to submit 'The King' back in 2017 where Kingad has admitted that his preparations were less than ideal. The same can't be said for their rematch, where he is taking the right steps to ensure that he is ready to face the former champion.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, he spoke about how they haven't rewritten the playbook but are making slight adjustments before coming into this fight:

"We're doing the same things to prepare for the fight, but we did add something special as we are formulating a game plan specifically for Adriano."

This fight could be career defining for Danny Kingad

Earning a victory over Adriano Moraes at the second time of asking in his career could be a massive moment for Danny Kingad.

He's achieved some great things during his time in ONE Championship but winning the flyweight gold has always been his ultimate goal. The title is currently vacant following the retirement of Demetrious Johnson last month at ONE 168.

If Kingad can beat a former champion who also happens to be the last man to fight Johnson, and the last man to beat him for that matter, it could be the momentum he needs to finally reach the top of the division.
