"We always talk about it" - Kade Ruotolo says he and Tye Ruotolo are open to a 'brother vs brother' showdown in ONE Championship

ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion, Kade Ruotolo, admits that his doors will always be open to the possibility of facing twin brother Tye Ruotolo on the global stage of martial arts.

During a recent chat with Cageside Press, the 21-year-old athlete noted:

"We talk about it. I tell him, all the time, like: 'Hey, you better make sure I don't come down because I still can make 170. But yeah, we always talk about it."

Arguably the most dangerous pair of siblings in the martial arts sphere, the Ruotolos have faced each other in high-level competitions on multiple occasions from the very start of their careers.

They continue to hone their craft together to this day and given that they're the best of the best in the sport, their skills have leveled up at a rapid pace. Of course, success has followed suit.

Kade Ruotolo holds the lightweight crown in the submission grappling ranks of ONE Championship, while Tye has the welterweight gold in his possession.

It'll be interesting to see whether or not the two cross paths on the global stage someday. But before this dream super fight unfolds, Kade will have his hands full with another epic clash for the ages against flyweight world champion Mikey Musumeci at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.

Danielle Kelly backs Kade Ruotolo for success against Mikey Musumeci

Plenty of experts within the grappling realm do not see a clear winner when Kade Ruotolo defends his prized possession against Mikey Musumeci. However, Danielle Kelly pointed out a main advantage that Ruotolo will have and why she expects him to get his hand raised in this guaranteed firefight at ONE 168: Denver.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA last month, the former ONE world champion noted:

"I'm a big fan of the Ruotolos, I love their style. I'm not saying that Mikey's bad or anything, I think it's up at Kade's weight class right? So as a smaller person, I feel like the bigger person always wins. But I feel like they're both technical."
"But I think Kade's just overall like a good grappler. So I might have to give it to Kade," she added.
