"We only beat ourselves" - Natalia Diachkova says bulletproof mental fortitude will power her to victory over Smilla Sundell

Female Russian Muay Thai star 'Karelian Lynx' Natalia Diachkova is one hundred percent confident she will emerge victorious when she fights for Muay Thai gold next weekend.

The 29-year-old firecracker will attempt to do what no one has done before, and that beats 19-year-old teenage phenom 'The Hurricane' Smilla Sundell in ONE Championship.

Diachkova believes her age and experience are the keys to beating the tall and long Swedish fighter.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Diachkova talked about how her bulletproof mindset will help her take out the 5-foot-8-inch tall champion.

'Karelian Lynx' said:

"My experience can really help me. I have read a lot of scientific literature about how the brain works, its functions and our instincts. I know how fighters can behave in the ring and I know why, I know that there are only two options for the brain -- to surrender, to finish the fight and not suffer pain and stay alive, or to give everything you have and win."
"The brain is tricky and you have to beat it. That's why I often talk about how in the ring, we only beat ourselves."

These are wise words from the challenger here, and we can expect Diachkova to take that bulletproof mindset into the ONE Championship ring with her next weekend.
