“We can stand on our own” - Denice Zamboanga believes T-Rex MMA can be as successful as Team Lakay, Lions Nation MMA
Second-ranked ONE Championship women's atomweight contender 'The Menace' Denice Zamboanga of the Philippines believes her family gym, run by her brother, fellow ONE athlete Drex 'T-Rex' Zamboanga, is among the very best in the country alongside more renowned facilities such as Team Lakay and Lions Nation MMA.
Zamboanga trains daily at T-Rex MMA with her brother, as well as fiance Fritz Biagtan, as she sharpens her skills to compete in the world's largest martial arts organization.
And if she is living proof of the quality of training to be had at T-Rex MMA, then 'The Menace' certainly has a point.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Zamboanga talked about how their gym stacks up among the best.
'The Menace' stated:
"We realized we can do it. We can stand on our own. I look at other established gyms like Team Lakay or Lions Nation, and we’re thinking, if they can do it, T-Rex MMA can also do it."
'The Menace' Denice Zamboanga is set to lock horns with Thailand's 'Lil' Monkey' Noelle Grandjean at ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut II on Prime Video.
The event broadcasts live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video. It airs on Friday, June 7th, in U.S. primetime.

Denice Zamboanga praises Noelle Grandjean ahead of atomweight MMA showdown: "I like the way she uses her judo"
'The Menace' Denice Zamboanga is very familiar with upcoming opponent Noelle Grandjean. In fact, the Filipina says she used to train and spar with 'Lil' Monkey' back when she was in Thailand.
Zamboanga told the South China Morning Post in a recent interview:
"We sparred together. All the girls usually spar together. So every MMA training we spar together. When I sparred with her, her striking is really good. Her boxing is nice. But her judo, I like the way she uses her judo skills in our sparring."
