"We fight together, we drink together" - Jiri Prochazka shares details of wholesome post UFC 311 interaction with Jamahal Hill
Jiri Prochazka reflected on his friendly interaction with Jamahal Hill after their UFC 311 fight, where he won by third-round TKO, positioning himself back in the light heavyweight title picture. Despite the tense pre-fight atmosphere, Hill shared a video of them having a drink together afterward.
On the recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which aired on Jan. 26, Joe Rogan asked Prochazka about the interaction, and the Czech fighter shared his thoughts:
"I bought him my original drink, what I [was] drinking - The vodka, sort of lime - I told him, 'We fight together, we drink together, let's go! Let's go for that!' Because, everybody, we are one in the end. There is no [enmity], even with your baddest enemy of the world. [I said], 'Man, it was a good life, it was a good fight, so let's drink together. Let's celebrate together.' That's all."
When asked if it was "cool" to hang out with Hill after the fight, Prochazka responded:
"That was cool. That's something I like to do with my opponents. You win, you lose, whatever!"

Jiri Prochazka shares his thoughts on trash-talking in combat sports
Jiri Prochazka has captivated MMA fans with his dynamic fighting style and respectful demeanor toward opponents. While self-promotion and mental warfare are common in combat sports, Prochazka said he disapproves of trash talks before fights, emphasizing that it feels insincere when fighters reconcile afterward.
In the aforementioned episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience' podcast, Prochazka said:
"Let's be honest... That's why I like to keep same words, same attitude, before the fight, in the preparation, in the fight and after the fight. All the time, like, the same. That's me. And I want to show me, not 'me before and me after.'" [1:00:45]
Prochazka's defensive abilities faced significant criticism following his UFC 303 loss to light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. However, his improvements in this area were widely recognized after his UFC 311 victory over Jamahal Hill.
While speaking to Rogan, Prochazka emphasized his goal of capturing the light heavyweight title and competing for the middleweight title at some point in the future.
