“We have many guys I trust” - Superbon believes he has put together a solid group of guys at Superbon Training Camp

ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon is happy to realize his goal of having his own training gym and believes he has assembled a great team to run it with him.

Located in Bangkok, Thailand, the Superbon Training Camp opened last year to be a venue for elite Muay Thai training for both seasoned and upcoming fighters. It is a fulfillment of the Phatthalung native's long-sought dream of giving back to striking-only sports that have changed his life for the better.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Superbon spoke about his gym, including how his role has changed in it since it started and the significant part that people around has played.

He said:

"If I'm free, I usually go to corner them because I like to watch fighting. But if I can't be there because I have other business to do, I'll have someone else go instead because we have many guys I trust like Trainer [Ajarn] Gae and Trainer [Kru] Jeng, or anyone else who can help me take care of our fighters."

Moving forward, he hopes that his training facility would become one of the biggest and best Muay Thai gyms in the world.

Superbon swings back to Muay Thai for ONE Friday Fights 81

Superbon swings back to Muay Thai this week as he returns to action at ONE Friday Fights 81. He will go up against fellow Thai superstar 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut in the main bout of the event happening at Bangkok's famed Lumpinee Stadium on Sept. 27.

The Superbon Training Camp standout is coming off a successful kickboxing match in April, where he secured the interim belt with a unanimous decision victory over longtime rival Marat Grigorian.

The Bangkok-based kickboxer made his maiden Muay Thai outing under ONE Championship in December last year, vying for the featherweight world title against divisional king Tawanchai PK Saenchai. He, however, lost by majority decision.

Nattawut, meanwhile, was last in action in June against Tawanchai in their own Muay Thai title clash. He, too, lost by majority decision but his impressive showing earned him a rematch in November in the United States.

Fans in North America can catch the action at ONE Friday Fights 81 via global pay-per-view through watch.onefc.com. For more information om it, visit the ONE Championship website.
