"We're both on a destruction path" - Jonathan Haggerty thrilled rematch with Superlek takes place at the height of their careers
Jonathan Haggerty finds himself motivated by revenge heading into one of the biggest fights of his career.
'The General' doesn't have too many losses on his record that have left him feeling like there is still a score to settle.
Before he signed to ONE Championship, the young up-and-comer was beaten by Superlek Kiatmoo9 after the doctor stopped the fight due to a cut.
They have been on very different paths since that point and whilst Superlek remains to be one of the very best in the world, Haggerty has worked his way up the ladder to become a two-sport world champion.
He spoke in a recent interview with Inside Fighting about how their paths will once again cross but in different circumstances.
Now, they're set to headline ONE 168 at the Ball Arena in Denver because they have both been putting together impressive winning streaks as of late:
"I'm excited, you know, things happen for a reason. Obviously, it happened the way it did. But now, we're both on a destruction path. We're both as the peak of our careers at the best organization in the world, headlining the show in the US."

Jonathan Haggerty has come so far in this time period
His first and upcoming clashes with Superlek serve as real bookmark chapters in the career of Jonathan Haggerty.
When he first came up against 'The Kicking Machine', the Brit was an exciting prospect that probably wasn't ready for that level just yet.
Fast forward to the present day and he has proven that this is where he belongs as the bantamweight Muay Thai world champion.
Haggerty is better in every single way and he now believes that he has what it takes to beat Superlek on September 6 in one of the best fights of the year.
