"We're ready to rock and roll" - Jonathan Haggerty says it's all systems go for Superlek war at ONE 168: Denver
Jonathan Haggerty is all geared up for his super fight against Superlek Kiatmoo9, which headlines ONE 168: Denver this Friday, September 6.
The British striker puts his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title on the line inside Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, and he knows another big victory on fight night could see him cement his status at the top of the pound-for-pound chart.
With that goal locked in, the Knowlesy Academy and Team Underground affiliate has spared no effort through his three-and-a-half-month camp to prep himself for undoubtedly the toughest assignment of his career.
During a live televised interview with Sky Sports this week, Jonathan Haggerty admits that he's at 100 percent heading into this surefire war. He shared:
"This is a huge fight for me, so to get my mind in the game is very important. So, I've put 100 percent in my training camp. We've left no stone unturned for me and my coach. So as long as I've put 100 percent in the fight camp, we're ready to rock and roll."

Jonathan Haggerty expects a 'very hard fight' against Superlek in Denver
While fired up to secure a victory over 'The Kicking Machine,' Haggerty believes it would be anything but a walk in the park. Superlek rides on an impressive 10-match winning streak — a run that includes victories over Takeru Segawa and Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
As tough as it sounds, the two-sport king is game to see how this fight unfolds and promises to make life difficult for the Thai megastar, who is eager to claim two-sport world championship status in the main event of ONE 168: Denver.
In the same interview, Jonathan Haggerty continued:
"Of course, Superlek is one of the best, if not the best out there. I know it's going to be a very hard fight, but I'm ready to see where this fight goes. I'll be on the hunt, and he'll be out there to try and get me, too. But I'm still confident in my plan and what I can do to overcome him."
