"Wear him out and finish him" - Freddie Haggerty predicts the outcome of his brother Jonathan's title defense vs Superlek

ONE flyweight Muay Thai rising star Freddie Haggerty only sees one ending to arguably the biggest striking showdown of the year.

On September 6, live at U.S. Primetime, his brother Jonathan Haggerty will defend the bantamweight Muay Thai world title against challenger Superlek Kiatmoo9 in the promotion's return to American soil at ONE 168: Denver.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, the younger Haggerty confidently predicted another highlight reel finish for 'The General':

"I think Superlek is going to make a mistake with the weight...That's going to affect his gas tank. I know how it's going to go. I think Jon's going to wear him out and finish him."

Freddie Haggerty, of course, is alluding to the flyweight kickboxing king's weight issues in the past, as he used to have trouble making the 135-pound limit.

However, it is worth noting that 'The Kicking Machine' will be moving up a weight class for this one, in his bid for two-division and two-sport supremacy.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Haggerty has found a home at bantamweight, where he now lords over the 145-pound Muay Thai and kickboxing ranks.

The British superstar has finished the likes of Nong-O Hama, Fabricio Andrade and Felipe Lobo in his last three contests.

A massive victory over the seemingly invincible Superlek would no doubt etch his name in the pound-for-pound conversation.

Jonathan Haggerty says Superlek will be in for a rude awakening at bantamweight

Superlek may have already bested Haggerty once before, but 'The General' believes that's all in the past.

Haggerty says he's more equipped to take down the Thai superstar this time around. Plus, the hard-hitting Brit warned 'The Kicking Machine' that he'll be in for a rude awakening at bantamweight.

Haggerty told the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast in an earlier interview:

"I'm bigger than him, I'm in one weight category above him, and he's stepping into my weight category, and not giving too much away, I'm just gonna put that power and pressure on him. I'm not sure he's gonna enjoy it."
