"What a fraud" - Fans troll Amir Albazi's "embarrassing" failed attempt to pull off Max Holloway's 'point to the ground' trend at UFC Edmonton
Amir Albazi failed miserably to execute Max Holloway's signature move, which elicited reactions from MMA fans worldwide. Many slammed Albazi for attempting the move, while some bashed his performance against Brandon Moreno.
Albazi headlined UFC Edmonton in a flyweight bout against Moreno this past Saturday at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada, in hopes of carrying forward his unbeaten streak and possibly a title contention down the line. However, the Iraqi took a beating from the former champion, as Moreno put up a dominant performance against him.
During the last 30 seconds of the final round, Albazi, bloodied up by Moreno's sharp strikes, gestured towards the ground, implying a stand-up fight with the 30-year-old just like Holloway did to Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.
However, the 31-year-old showed little interest in the stand and bang as he continued to move backward after getting hit by Moreno.
