When Alex Pereira detailed his method for approaching women with "first girlfriend" pick-up line

Earlier in the year, Alex Pereira embarked on a trip to New York, during which he revealed a favorite pick-up line he uses on women he's romantically interested in. A clip of his explanation made the rounds on social media but was initially uploaded to his official YouTube channel.

According to 'Poatan', he first draws a woman's attention by comparing her to his first girlfriend, presumably an ex. Once the woman reacts, Pereira disarms her with a quick revelation.

"Pull up on them and be like, 'Damn, your face reminds me of my first girlfriend.' Then she'll be like, 'Damn, you're comparing me?' Then she'll be like, "What do you mean?' Then you say, 'Well, I never dated before.'"

The video was uploaded ahead of 'Poatan's' appearance on The MMA Hour. A month later, the Brazilian defended his light heavyweight championship against the trash-talking Jamahal Hill at UFC 300.

After that, he defended the title again, this time in a rematch with Jiří Procházka, who he knocked out within two rounds. He is scheduled for his third title defense against the streaking Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307.

While he previously sought to move up to heavyweight for a crack at the undisputed title, he has since shifted his attention to the middleweight division, where he had previously enjoyed a short reign.

Alex Pereira's breakup and subsequent rumored relationship with UFC fighter

Alex Pereira's dating history has been of tremendous interest to the MMA fandom, with his past romance with Merle Christine having made headlines due to the pair's contentious breakup. However, his rumored follow-up relationship with UFC women's strawweight Polyana Viana drew even more attention.

The two were spotted in each other's company numerous times after Pereira's messy split with Christine, even filming comedic skits and grappling sessions. However, neither party confirmed a serious relationship, and their social media collaborations have dried up.
