When Conor McGregor mocked Dana White for "horrifying" reaction to his gorilla tattoo
During an interview with GQ Sports back in 2017, Dana White took part in a challenge in which he was required to guess UFC fighters by their tattoos. During the video, the UFC CEO was then shown a picture of Conor McGregor's iconic gorilla chest piece, but admitted that he wasn't a fan of the tattoo.
'The Notorious' made his debut in the UFC in 2013 and at the time, had no tattoos at all. As he then made his way through the rankings, McGregor slowly started to add more ink to his body, eventually culminating in his biggest and most striking tattoo - the gorilla on his chest.
The artwork depicts a gorilla wearing a crown and eating a human heart. McGregor has since stated that tattoo was done to pay homage to his coach, John Kavanagh, and the Straight Blast Gym (SBG) in Ireland, where McGregor still trains. SBG's logo is known to be a gorilla, and that's likely where the Irishman got the inspiration for his now-iconic piece.
Dana White was then shown a photograph of Conor McGregor's chest tattoo, which is when he stated that he first found it "horrifying." Speaking to GQ Sports, White said:
"That's Conor McGregor. He had no tattoos when he started. When McGregor got that tattoo I was horrified. He then said to me 'You know why you don't like these tattoos? It's because you're old!'"

Dan Hooker's coach fuels speculation on potential bout with Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor is expected to make his UFC return before the end of the year against Michael Chandler. However, nothing has been confirmed by the promotion, leading to speculation that the Irishman could face a different opponent.
Dan Hooker recently faced off against Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 305 and put on an impressive performance that has now seen him enter the top 5 of the lightweight division. During his post-fight speech, 'The Hangman' also made note of his new position in the division and called for a clash against McGregor.
Mike Angove, Hooker's coach, then shared a cryptic message with regards to a potential bout against 'The Notorious' during a recent interview with Submission Radio. He said:
"McGregor is all over the shop. It looks like [McGregor vs. Chandler] is something that Dana [White] has fallen away from... There's plenty of options there, and Hooker is still dangerous to anyone in that division... Don't forget what he did to Gilbert Burns."
