“When dudes get hit, it’s so brutal you might never see them again” - Joe Rogan on Superbon’s KO of Giorgio Petrosyan
On a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, the long-running UFC color commentator was full of praise for some of ONE Championship’s most exciting athletes, including Superbon.
Featuring ONE’s flyweight champion ‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson, the pair covered a lot of ground in the nearly three-hour episode. In a conversation started by the idea that having competition between MMA promotions is a great thing, Rogan and Johnson began to discuss some of the world-class fighters who are currently competing under ONE Championship's banner.
Joe Rogan highlighted one fighter in particular in Superbon, referencing his knockout of Giorgio Petrosyan as one of the best he’d ever seen. Whilst playing a video of the knockout, Rogan commentated:
“To do that to [Giorgio] Petrosyan, I mean Petrosyan is like recognized as one of the very best kickboxers of all time, and for him to right kick to the body, right kick to the head like that. Holy s***. Right kick to the body, right kick to the body, like boom! To see Petrosyan go out like that is wild!”
He added:
“I don’t know if you come back from that one. Sometimes when dudes get hit, it’s so brutal you might never see them again.”

Superbon vs. Allazov set for ONE on Prime Video 5
At ONE on Prime Video 5, Thai kickboxing phenom Superbon will defend the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship against Georgian-born Belarusian striker Chingiz Allazov.
Superbon was crowned the inaugural ONE featherweight kickboxing champion back in 2021 when he defeated world-renowned kickboxing legend Giorgio Petrosyan with a stunning head-kick knockout.

Allazov was scheduled to compete for the world championship at ONE on Prime Video 1 but was forced to pull out due to an injury. Dutch-Turkish kickboxer Tayfun Özcan was scheduled to step in for the injured Allazov, but when the champion fell ill, the main protagonists of the world title bout ultimately did not compete in the promotion’s debut on Amazon Prime Video.
Chingiz Allazov emerged as the number one contender for the world championship after winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix. Winning his first two fights via first-round knockout, Allazov advanced to the final, where he defeated Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong at ONE X to win the tournament and earn a shot at the title.
On the same card, Superbon defeated Marat Grigorian in his first world title defense.
Superbon vs. Allazov takes place at ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2, live from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
