When Ed Sheeran revealed to Theo Von how his impersonator tricked Eddie Hearn into giving him ringside seats: "I thought it was your brother"
The British pop sensation Ed Sheeran recently appeared on Theo Von's podcast This Past Weekend #512 where he recalled how an imposter tricked the British promoter Eddie Hearn into getting a ringside seat for a boxing bout. This incident dates back to a boxing bout between 2018's Logan Paul vs. KSI amateur boxing bout in Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The British singer was apparently present in the audience.
Shedding light on the incident, Sheeran revealed it was a lookalike who played a trick to fool the organizers. Eddie Hearn fell prey to the trick and provided him with the ringside tickets. It was only after a while they realized it wasn't Sheeran.
Theo Von asked the 33-year-old singer about his lookalike whom he referred to as a fighter. He said:
"Did you see that fighter that looked like you the other day, it was like a UFC fighter or something."
Sheeran replied to Von's question by saying:
"Well he's a lookalike...did you not see the things where there was a Floyd Mayweather...no, KSI Logan Paul fight and I was like...I was ringside but it was this look alike and then some YouTubers had done a thing where they were like let us try and fool them and they got this look alike and Eddie Hearn essentially just gave my lookalike ringside tickets."
