When Joe Rogan was stunned by Mr. Beast's $4 million "Squid Game" video, asked to buy the doll prop for his studio: "Dope as fu*k"
Joe Rogan was once left gobsmacked when he welcomed YouTube sensation Mr. Beast to his podcast studio back in 2022. The pair discussed a host of topics, including the YouTuber's iconic 'Squid Game' video, which even left Rogan wanting to buy a prop from the set.
Mr. Beast, AKA Jimmy Donaldson, is widely considered to be one of the biggest and most ambitious content creators in the world. His channel is synonymous with huge budgets and great production quality, as well as the overall theme of offering massive sums of money to those who take part in the challenges that the videos are based on.
The perfect example of this, which Rogan honed in on, was Mr. Beast's 'Squid Game' video that was uploaded in 2021. Cashing in on the hype of the Netflix show with the same title, Mr. Beast spent a staggering $4 million to produce an exact replica of the sets, and had over 500 contestants to take part in a real life version of the competition.
There was one thing in particular that caught the UFC color commentator's eye - the giant mechnical doll used for the 'red light, green light' game that features in the video. Rogan asked:
"Where did you get the doll, the one that spins its head around. Did you build that?"
Mr. Beast then admitted that he had no idea where the doll was now, saying:
"Usually we give stuff away but I don't want to lie to you, I have no earthly idea where it is [the doll]."
Rogan then responded by stating he wanted to buy it. He said:
"I'll buy it, I wanna put that doll in my studio. I think that'd be dope as f*ck."

Joe Rogan lashes out at the Olympics for lack of athlete pay
The Paris Olympics kicked off last month and immediately came under scrutiny for a divisive opening ceremony. However, Rogan's biggest issue with the global sporting event is that those taking part aren't being compensated enough.
Speaking on episode 161 of the JRE MMA Show, Rogan noted that the Olympics reaches an audience of over 3 billion, and that it is a "scam" for athletes not to be paid more. Joe Rogan said:
"The Olympics is a giant scam. There's two things going on simultaneously, ok, you have the best athletes in the world participating in their disciplines. That's happening and then on top of that, you have enormous amounts of money being made and none of it is going to the athletes. It is a giant scam."
