Chael Sonnen claims Anthony Taylor sucker punching Dillon Danis to avenge KSI was not supposed to happen
Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen has weighed in on the drama surrounding KSI, Dillon Danis and Anthony Taylor.
During Misfits Boxing 3's weigh-ins last Friday, Dillon Danis entered the venue and was pictured in a heated face-off with KSI. The pair were locked into an intense staredown before Danis landed a cheap shot on the YouTube star and was escorted from the building.
Following Dillon Danis and his entourage's removal, former MMA fighter Anthony Taylor, who recently signed for Misfits Boxing, stormed out to confront the controversial American. The pair exchanged a few heated words before getting into a brawl outside the building.
Chael Sonnen reacted to the chaos on his YouTube channel, and according to 'The American Gangster', the altercation between KSI and Danis was likely scripted, but Taylor's actions were not:
"When you don't smart up the entourage and they want to show loyalty or get a little angle for themselves. It goes too far...Dillon ended up outside and now the melee is outside and somebody else is coming after him...Whoever this guy [Anthony Taylor] was coming after Dillon, this guy was an athletic wonder...He lowers his elavation and throws a punch at Dillon. It was a good punch."
During Misfits Boxing 3's broadcast, KSI invited Dillon Danis to the ring and confirmed that the pair are set for a boxing bout on January 14, 2023.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker addresses beef between Nate Diaz and Dillon Danis
Scott Coker has suggested that both Dillon Danis and Nate Diaz are more than welcome to settle their beef inside Bellator's octagon at any time.
Despite being a close friend of Conor McGregor, 'El Jefe' has spent the last few years calling out multiple fighters and showing up to events to cause drama. Prior to his appearance at Misfits Boxing 3, Danis did the same following UFC 281.
After the PPV, Danis and Nate Diaz were filmed getting into an altercation outside Madison Square Garden. Although the pair were never able to get physical, Diaz managed to deliver a Stockton slap to a member of the 29-year-old's entourage before they were all separated.
In a recent interview with The Schmo, Coker was asked about the incident and revealed that it could make for an interesting fight:
"You know, to me, it's like -- Look, if fighters wanna fight for free, please give me a call. These are professional athletes. They should be fighting for the money they deserve. But we'll see about Dillon [next fight]. I really have no update right now."
