"Which one of your wives did he take down?” - Craig Jones gets personal with Gordon Ryan as feud continues to heat up online
Craig Jones and Gordon Ryan are in the midst of a major social media feud following taunts from both sides. The pair went from teammates to enemies in the space of a few years, as they once formed part of the deadliest team in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
As part of the Danaher Death Squad (DDS), led by coach John Danaher, the DDS took BJJ by storm. But the DDS split in 2021, and the separation was far from amicable.
Jones, Nicky Ryan, the younger brother of Gordon, as well as several other major figures of the DDS all went their own way and created their own team known as the B-Team.
'The King', alongside Danaher and several original members, stayed together and created a new team known as New Wave jiu-jitsu.
Following the recent addition of former B-Team member Izaak Michell to the New Wave squad, Jones and Ryan once again began trading insults.
The American took to Instagram first, posting a picture of Michell at the New Wave facilities, writing this:
"People who left D-Team are realizing who was right - 3 [people] and counting. People who asked to come back - 3 Welcome @izaakmichellbjj"
The Australian's response took a personal turn, as he wrote:
"Which one of your wives did he take down while he was training at the D-Team?"

Jones also took to Instagram and posted a video of himself and Nicky Ryan training together, with Homelander from television show The Boys playing the role of 'The King'.

Gordon Ryan blames Craig Jones for the DDS split
Gordon Ryan has largely maintained his silence about the split of the DDS since it happened in 2021. But it seems that 'The King' has grown tired of being labeled as a major reason for the split and has pointed the finger at Craig Jones.
Ryan recently appeared on Jake Shields' podcast, Fight Back, where he shed light on the split:
"Craig's whole thing is that if he can't beat you, if he can't beat something or win at something, he'll try and destroy it. He couldn't beat me, so he joined the [Danaher Death Squad] and then he broke the team up. He couldn't win ADCC so he tried to crush ADCC, he's just very vindictive. Craig's Instragram persona is the exact opposite of what Craig is in real life."
